Hospital

Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, a 36 bed, sub-regional hospital and a regional community health service (the Murray Mallee Community Health Service) serve the local government area of the Rural City of Murray Bridge and the adjacent council areas in the region known as the Murray Mallee.

A rewarding part of rural medicine is providing inpatient care to your patients and being able to pursue your special interests. The hospital has a three bed high dependency/coronary care ward where patients can have intensive nursing and be monitored. Tenecteplase and inotropic infusions are given as required. Approximately 250 deliveries per year keep the maternity ward busy. Epidurals are performed by four of our anaesthetists thus providing an excellent service to our community.

The Hospital accommodates air retrieval with the recent placement of a Helipad within the Hospital grounds.

Other hospitals in the Murray Mallee Region include:

  • Mannum Hospital
  • Meningie & Districts Memorial Hospital
  • Tailem Bend District Hospital
  • Karoonda & District Soldiers' Memorial Hospital
  • Lameroo District Health Service
  • Pinnaroo Soldiers' Memorial Hospital

Telemedicine facilities are available for Psychiatry assessment of both inpatients and outpatients.
