Welcome

Welcome to the Bridge Clinic website.

Happy new year to all of our patients and health care providers!

Like many people you may be making resolutions to quit smoking, reduce your alcohol intake, get more exercise, eat healthier foods.
Your GP is here to help you with your health and well being and hopefully to make a positive contribution to being a healthier person. Preventative health care is important and we have a wide range of information and brochures available to assist you. Have a look at some of the links on our website to find out more from the information sheets available.
At this time of the year we ask all patients to check their Medicare and concession cards to ensure they are current. We also encourage patients to make a list of issues that they wish to discuss with their GP and, if the list is extensive, ask for a double appointment when next booking.
You may already be aware that it can be difficult to get an appointment with your regular GP so we encourage patients with ongoing and chronic medical care needs to book ahead (we usually have our appointment books open 8 weeks in advance).
Please have your Medicare card and concession cards with you each time you visit and remember that we ask for full payment on the day of your consultation.
May 2010 be your healthiest year yet!

Welcome to the New Intern

Welcome >>

Dr Sheree Hunt will leave us shortly - her 10 week placement has gone quickly and she was able to enjoy the fun and festivities of Christmas in general practice!  Dr John Pitt will join us on 25th January and will be available for booked appointments.  As with our previous interns you will be seen by Dr Pitt first for your consultation and then one of our regular Bridge Clinic GPs will join the consultation at the end of your visit, as the supervising GP.

Thank you to all patients who book with our interns, students and registrars - this is a very important part of GP training and education and helps us build a future for people wanting to be general practitioners in rural areas!
